The Space Physcis Concept Inventory is a collaboration between the University of Colorado, UCLA, and the Univeristy of Texas.
Using Ed's Tools, we collect natural language student responses to open ended questions, and then code them for common themes.
Based on these themes, we develop multiple choice questions that probe students' conceptual understanding of the space environment.
We are also developing a set of java simulations for use in middle school science classes.
For a short demonstration of these development activities click on the demo link.
We thank the Biology Concept Inventory project for allowing us to use their web tools in building the SPCI.
